A Super-Artista Incógnita é irónica e catatónica. Luta por uma igualdade de género com humor e subtileza, pretendendo chegar ao máximo de pessoas possíveis por todo o mundo especialmente a mulheres que ainda vivem numa realidade de opressão (nas suas casas, no seu meio social, na sua religião, etc.). Procura, igualmente, despertar o/a super-herói/na interior de cada um/a aparecendo em público, surpreendendo as pessoas e quebrando as suas rotinas diárias com a realização de performances espontâneas em diferentes situações e lugares.
O conceito da Super-Artista Incógnita parte da elaboração de figurinos e adereços para criar uma imagem que está em constante mutação, que se vai construindo a partir das referências culturais originárias / estereotipadas – o folclore, o fado, o estudante de Coimbra, etc. – e de uma vivência migrante e em trânsito da artista.

Este projecto iniciou-se em 2009 num processo contínuo de investigação e produção artística.

A artista agradece o Apoio à Internacionalização do Instituto Camões para viajar à Argentina em 2009, e o Apoio à Internacionalização da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. para viajar ao Canadá em 2016.

The Super-Artista Incógnita is ironic and catatonic. In a humorous and subtle way fights for a gender equality, intending to reach as many people possible around the world especially to women that live an oppressive reality (in their homes, culture, etc). Furthermore, it seeks to awaken each one’s interior super-hero(ine) appearing in public, surprising people and braking day-life routines with a serie of spontaneous performances in different situations and places.

The concept of Super-Artista Incógnita starts from the elaboration of costumes and props to create an image that is constantly changing, which is being built from the cultural references originating/stereotyped - folklore, fado, the student of Coimbra, etc. - and an experience of being a woman artist, heroin and migrant in transit.

This project began in 2009 in a continuous process of research and artistic production.

The artist would like to thank the Support for Internationalisation from Instituto Camões to travel to Argentina in 2009, and for the Support for Internationalisation from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. to travel to Canada in 2016.
