Cada vez com mais frequência, tenho sentido a necessidade de me refugiar na natureza com o intuito de me libertar de tensões acumuladas pela vivência na cidade e em sociedade. (...)

Durante estas escapatórias na natureza surgiu a vontade de desenvolver Flights & Falls. (...) Privilegiou-se o território Português para enfatizar as suas diferentes paisagens naturais, por vezes descuidadas e esquecidas, com recurso à poética da imagem e da performance. Neste percurso acompanharam-me um chapéu de chuva e duas combinações negras que, para além da simbologia a que estão associados – voar, proteção, sonhos, intimidade – pertenceram à minha falecida avó e a quem gostaria de dedicar esta obra.

Gostaria, também, de agradecer a preciosa ajuda de Adelaide Filipe, JJ Gomes, Kátia Sá, Patrícia P Moutinho e de Vitor Lago Silva, que já não se encontra entre nós.

With increasing occurrence, I feel the need to take refuge in nature and escape from the accumulated tensions of living in the city and the routine stresses of society. (...)

During these escapes in nature the will to develop Flights & Falls emerged. (...) I emphasize Portugal and privilege different and sometimes neglected and forgotten natural landscapes, using performance and poetic image. Accompanied by a black umbrella and a black nightdress. Besides the representation of freedom, protection, intimacy and the idea of dream that these props represent, they belonged to my deceased grandmother and to whom I wish to dedicate this work.

I also would like to express my gratitude to the following people for their precious help: Adelaide Filipe, JJ Gomes, Kátia Sá, Patrícia P. Moutinho and to Vitor Lago Silva, who is no longer among us.
